28 October 2016 – Dog World

It was a double showing weekend for many Papillon exhibitors at The Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells. The South Wales Papillon Club held their show here for the second year and was first on the weekend agenda. Not a lot of news has filtered through but I am sure the clubs committee officers and members gave their usual warm welcome to one and all.

For this show toy specialist Mr Nigel Marsh was judging the breed, from the pictures I have seen the rosettes were once again second to none. Mr Marsh found his principal winners to be; DCC/BIS Joe Magri & Kevin Arrowsmith’s Ch Rozamie Dream Lover, RDCC/RBIS Sean Carroll & James Newman’s IR/GER/UK CH Hundebuden’s Juno Pondabuden’s, BCC Pat Beadles’s Bedellus Jazz Time, RBCC Sue Victor’s Lafford Kandy Floss JW, BP Katherine Bull’s Altaya Star Attraction, RBPIS Sue Stanbury’s Inixia Devonshire Maid, BV Jean & Roger Banfield’s Skyvana Fancy That At Kingshaven and lastly BPH Susie & Margaret Orchard’s Semicevetik Dayana Divine Panspayon (Imp).

Mrs Rosemarie Hobson put the juniors through their paces and Rosemarie awarded Isabella Cox aged 10 years, Best Junior Handler.

Congratulations to everyone present at the show and of course to the committee also.

The next day was Toy Day for SWKA, I have to say not raining, which has to be a bonus for Builth but in the halls it was freezing, in fact it was at times warmer to go outside. At this show the stalls are all located together in one of the halls which I must say becomes a pleasant shopping experience having them all together.

All-rounder Mr Bill Browne-Cole was judging Papillons for the first time. The judging commenced on time and the judge arrived looking smartly attired and ready for his day ahead. The winners for the day were; DCC/BOB Magri & Arrowsmith’s CH Rozamie Dream Lover who also took TGP3 under Mr Tom Mather. BCC was a joyous moment for Pat Beadle gaining the magical third cc with Bedellus Jazz Time. Congratulations Pat, I am thrilled for you. RDCC was a delighted Sue Stanbury with Inixia Saucy Sam and RBCC/BP Magri & Arrowsmith’s Rozamie Madame Reeva. Unfortunately there was no BV at this show.

On the Open Show front Lynn George-Evans had a successful show at Llandudno DCA taking TGP1 with Johnny Moetica Prince Charming under Mr Robert Hitchcock. This gained him his Shcm with plenty of points to spare. Well done Lynn, super result.

Where has the year gone, just two more general All Breed Championship Shows left in the year and then it is Santapap time. Glory, it doesn’t seem two minutes since he was polishing his SP buttons on his jacket.

For those of you going to Midland Counties at Stafford this week, I wish you an enjoyable show, make sure you have lots of fun and remember the Christmas shopping list. Sorry I mentioned the ‘C’ word.
