02 December 2016 – Dog World

A few Open show results have come in for me to share with you. Up in Bonnie Scotland Jacqueline Hill had a lovely day at Clydebank Open Show at Lanark winning TPGP1 with her homebred Caraideas Rhapsody in Blue. This was her first show, so quite a start to this little ones show career. The judge was Elaine Williams (Sancana).

Camberley & DCA held their show in Maidstone, Kent where Katherine and Ann Bull were jumping with joy as Altaya Star Attraction went on to take TGP4 and TPGP3 under Mrs Irene McManus (Meteaxa). Congratulations also to the breeders Elaine and Neil Stanmore.

Up date on the Northern and Eastern Counties Papillon Club Open show apologies for missing off the Best Bitch winner who was Jill Varley’s Ambre Dore Beata Bea at Coxleyview (imp Lva). Thank you Anne Borg for making me aware, it is appreciated.

Wrexham DKA held their Open Show at Brymbo & Tanyfron Enterprise Centre in Wrexham. What a lovely venue this is, super clean, light airy hall, good parking facilities with appetising refreshments on hand. The club always put their hearts into making this an enjoyable day for the exhibitors. All the rings are of a good size and the day moved along in a professional manner. The raffle table was filled with superb gifts and hampers, so lots of opportunities to take home a prize. Congratulations to all the committee for playing their own individual parts, putting on such a fabulous show. For the Paps Mrs Karen Laws was judging the breed and also took on the task of the TGP. For BIS / BPIS the judge was Mrs Caroline Rees (Amical).

Both judges went over the dogs in a kind, methodical caring manner, putting the exhibitors and dogs at ease at all times. Our cheeky little Karis (Gleniren For Your Eyes Only) thoroughly enjoyed herself, when doesn’t she, always manages to make people smile and giggle with her antics! Obviously the judges liked naughty and we were delighted that she was awarded TGP4 / TPGP1 and BPIS. What a super show for this nine months old ragamuffin. Well done Wrexham for once again giving the exhibitors the best.

Unfortunately results or news from The Papillon Club Open Show have not been posted at the time of me writing these notes. Hopefully next week they will be included. Anyone affected by the storms and rain, I hope things improve very soon and life can become normal once again. Until next week, take care and please let me know your show results. I am sure the readers would also like to know about that particular society as well, the clubs deserve the recognition for all the hard work involved. So any snippets are greatly appreciated.
