12 April 2024 Papillon Breed Notes

South Wales Papillon Club Open Show was held in conjunction with South West Toy Open Show this year. For the breed show taking the helm was very well respected Toy Specialist Mea Kendall (Headra). No details have come through except for the results. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and I am sure the familiar friendly atmosphere that exhibitors always receive at the South Wales Club was in abundance. The principal winners for the show were as follows:

RBIS/ BOS/BB/ BPHIS Sue Morrell’s Phalene Athene Vom Schwabenhof For Temelora (Imp Deu),
BPIS/ BPB Susie and Margaret Orchard’s Panspayon Pennyroyale, RBPIS/ BMPIS Ann Borg’s ( handled by Sue Stanbury) Elendil Knights Templar,
BVIS/RBD/BPHD Sue Morrell’s Serenglade Leap Of Faith For Temelora.
Reserve Best Bitch Jo Davidson Poston’s Elena Kolekeja Szuwarka Spinillons Jw (Ikc).
Best Veteran Bitch Dee Olaf’s Tarnock Devore. Best Baby Puppy Sue Stanbury’s Inixia Sowton Sensation
Best Junior Handler Beau Casey.

For The South West Toy the results were as follows:
Best Dog and Best of Breed Jo Davison-Poston’s Dual Ch Sky Butterfly Elven Cron Prince Spinillons ShCEx SK Winner 23 (Imp RUS) Also taking the podium place of BIS under well respected Toy Specialist Nigel Marsh (Tidemill), Best Bitch & Reserve Best of Breed Susie Orchard’s Panspayon Natasha JW, Best Puppy in Breed Susie Orchard’s Panspayon Royal Romance, Reserve Best Dog Anne Borg’s Elendil Crusader., Reserve Best Bitch Amanda Hale’s Dance By Candlelight with Picolina and finally BV Hazel Malcolm’s Feorlig It Must’ve Been Love who went an exciting BVIS under Nigel Marsh.
Congratulations to everyone on flying the Papillon flag high at both shows.

Ilfracombe & District Canine Society Open Show saw Mr Hugh Bishop (Brynlluan) judging the breed and Toy Group.
BOB went to Ann Borg with Sue Stanbury handling Elendil Crusader, BPIB and taking a lovely TGP1 Susie Orchard’s Panspayon Pennyroyale.

Moving on up country to Barrow & District Open Show there were only AVNSC classes available for Papillons. Susan Lanson had a very good day taking AVNSC Puppy and TPGP4 under Patsy Hollings (Gunalt) with Empire of Havanna Wu Wen at Cantoverde (imp NLD).

Heywood & Ratcliffe Open Show the Papillon judge was Toy specialist Steve Rooney (Yorone/Jaschin). The Group judge was Susan Hann ( Rakuchin).
BOB was Pinder’s Afterglow Barbette with Starmarla and BPIB and an exciting TPGP3 Susan Lanson’s Empire of Havanna Wu Wen at Cantoverde (imp NLD).

Well done everyone on all the shows above and isn’t it nice to see the Papillons doing so well.
