14 June 2019 Breed Notes
Compliment to Bath Committee, the showground as always was first class and everything had been thought of to make the exhibitors day just perfect. Here Jeff Horswell a first time giving Challenge Certificates for Papillons was taking the helm for Bath’s judging. For the Toy Group it was Rob Sansom and BIS Jill Peak. Another spectacular BIS/ TGP/ DCC for Kathleen Roosens, gaining a crowning third cc with Planet Waves Forever Young Daydream Believers and also taking BPIB with Rollercoaster Daydream Believers. Congratulations to all concerned. BV was Chris Anderson’s Hilsorg Marks Amelia At Pappretty, Best Special Beginners Marsden, Mason and Stanbury’s Inixia Fine Fella In Finity (naf) (taf). BCC Kirsty Miller and Evan Ryan’s Feorlig Smart Cookie, RDCC Broughton and Stanbury’s Inixia Follower Of Fashion, RBCC Susie Orchard’s Panspayon Gold Fever. Congratulations to everyone.
Southern Counties saw Raewyn Dowsett who was another first time judge giving tickets for Papillons. Her principal winners for the day were as follows. DCC/ BOB Kirsty Miller and Evan Ryan’s CH Feorlig Smarty Panys JW SHcm, BP / RBCC Sophie Langdon’s Skyvana Xpose, BCC Caroline Lee-Slater’s Jorgealin Cast A Spell For Kinghaven , Best Junior Lee- Slater and Kewley’s Magic Sunrise Believe In Me (imp LVA), RDCC Sue Stanbury’s Inixia Ever Ready Eddie, Best Veteran Jane Thompson and Sandra Austin’s Jhanakia Higland Destiny, and Best Special Beginners Jury’s Melanangel Zaary At Lindanwaye. A pre-judging of the groups and stakes classes ran smoothly and gave way to an earlier finishing time and perhaps enabling more folk to watch the groups and BIS. From a quality entry of puppies for the Eukanuba Puppy Stakes Irene and Glenn Robb’s eight month old youngster on the day Gleniren Who’s Your Daddy took the overall winner on the day and returned for the final taking the Runner up spot, well done Jenson. The judge was Unto Timonen from Finland.
On to Three Counties in Malvern and the weather was kind to us on Toy day, but quite chilly. Here Frank Kane was judging the breed. There was a vast array of trade stands for everyone to browse at their leisure and a variety of refreshment choices available.
The principal winners were as follows. What a lovely crowning third cc for Pat Munn’s Ringlands Timeless Gift taking the DCC with BOB. A short listing in the group made it a very special indeed for Pat, very well done. Alexander Forth walked the little one for Pat. BCC Lee-Slater and Kewley’s Magic Sunrise Believe In Me (Imp LVA), BP Chris Anderson’s Pappretty I Want A Hero, BV Walsh’s Bankshill Lord Of The Rings Is Purepixie.
