The South of England Papillon Club recently held their Open Show at Tidworth Leisure Centre, the committee always put in a great effort to make everyone feel at home. The judge for this show was breed specialist Mr Jan Roosens (De Costalina) who had travelled from France to go over our UK butterflies and moths. I haven’t heard any snippets for the show only the main winners who are as follows; I am sure a delighted Pat Munn taking BIS/BD with Ringland Timeless Dream, RBIS/ BB Dee Olof’s Tarnock Runaway Ruby, BPIS/ BPD/ BMPD Sue Stanbury’s Inixia Made By Design, Reserve BPIS Susie Orchard’s Panspayon Jewel of the Nile, BVIS Kirsty Wells and Amanda Brown’s Ch Metamorphic Delivered and BPHIS Sue Morrell’s Serenglade Leap of Faith for Temelora. The Papillon entry for Crufts is 196/207 dogs our judge is breed specialist Amanda Bruce-Bostock. I am sure all the exhibitors are getting very excited at the prospect of Crufts Toy Day looming, one minute it seems so far away and in the next blink of the eye it is upon us.

I hope the storms and rain have not disrupted the majority of folk around the UK, but my heart goes out to those that have not been so fortunate and have experienced very challenging situations.

In the poorly sick corner Hazel Malcolm is now home from having an operation and I wish her a speedy recovery. If there is anyone else that you know that has been under the weather and would like me to give a mention, please let me know and I will include them in the breed notes.

Enjoy your up and coming shows and take care travelling.
