22 March 2024 Papillon Breed Notes

Poorly corner news.
The year of 2024 didn’t start too well for Ann Richardson as early Jan she had a very bad fall in the kitchen bashing her ear and head on a bench then thumping down backwards on the hard wood floor. This resulting in spending two days in A&E and then on to a plastic surgery ward with lots of MRI scans. Resulting in a back brace and morphine patches for a period of seven weeks.
Moving on in time to March Ann still has to wear the back brace for another four weeks but the specialist is happy that things are moving in the right direction and the morphine patches are keeping the pain at bay.
Within all this January chaos Alan had a long awaited knee operation on Jan 2nd, so things were very difficult in every direction. The good news is that Alan is now able to drive and things seem to be improving in both directions. Ann and Alan’s daughter must have been such a big help.
Stay safe both of you and I know everyone is sending much love to you both.
However, there has recently been some celebratory news in the Richardson household.
Congratulations to Ann and Alan celebrating their 61st Wedding Anniversary. That is definitely a gold watch and gold bracelet occasion. I am sure everyone hopes you both had a truly wonderful day.

After Crufts Sue Stanbury showed pictures on Facebook of a very sore closed eye. It couldn’t have come at a worse time as she was trying to sort everything for the South Wales Papillon Club Open Show the following week. This was being held in conjunction with South West Toy Dog.
As always, I am sure Sue will dive into the wardrobe and attire her superwoman regalia and soldier on making the show a success with the help of her committee. News of the show will be in the breed notes once results are through.
The only snippet of news I have received is from Hazel Malcolm informing me that at South West Toy Dog her Buzz, Feorlig It Must’ve Been Love was BVIS. The BVIS Judge was Nigel Marsh (Tidemill). You must have been thrilled, well done.
Next week will give a rundown on every ones Crufts experience and perhaps shows that I receive results for.
Until then take and good luck at the show.
