23 August 2019 Breed Notes

It was a double showing weekend for Papillon exhibitors. Paignton Championship Show saw breed specialists, Kirsty Miller take the helm for judging the Papillons. No extra info has come through from the show so just have the principal winners who were as follows; DCC/ BOB Sue Stanbury and Mrs Broughton’s Inixia Follower Of Fashion. I think perhaps this is the magical third, if so huge congratulations on receiving the UK title. BCC Sophie Langdon’s Skyvana Xpose, BP Mary Whitehill’s Papmar Moonlight Missabeat, RDCC Caroline Lee-Slater’s Rozamie Monsieur Philippe, RBCC Gordon Urquhart’s Blackpark Patricia, BV Jane Thompson and Sandra Austin’s Jhanakia Highland Destiny and Best Special Beginners Jury’s Melangel Zachary At Lindanwaye. Well done to all the class and principal winners.

South Of England held their Championship Show and I am sure as usual the committee put 100% into making it a good show for the exhibitors in every way. Breed Specialist Kirsten Stewart-Knight was judging the show and I hope she had an enjoyable day. She found her principal winners to be. BIS / BCC Kirsty Miller and Evan Ryan’s Ch Feorlig Wake Up Maggie JW ShCM, DCC Mary Whitehill and Pat Urwin’s Stagedoor Exposed By Paparottsie, BPIS Mary Whitehill’s Papmar Moonlight Missabeat, BVIS Pat Munn’s Smileline Silenzio Sunshine Garsiv, BPHIS Spark’s Pinkmead Twistin Time. RDCC Susan Lanson’s Cantoverde Captain Casper JW ShCM, RBCC Cantoverde Royal Chyna JW ShCM. What a great day you had Susan, very well done. I hope all the winners enjoyed taking home their winning club shields and of course the rosettes. The Junior Handing judged was judge Elaine Stewart-Knight and she found her best junior to be Isabella Cox. Our five breed committees put such a lot of dedication and hard work into making the shows work for the exhibitors and we must not forget that without them there would be no breed show for us to go to.

Next week will review Bournemouth and it’s mixture of weathers for the caravan folk until then take care going to the shows and enjoy your beautiful butterflies and moths.
