26 April 2024 Papillon Breed Notes

UK Toy Dog held at New Bingley Hall has to be one of the favourite shows of the year for anyone involved within the Toy breeds, the 2024 show did not disappoint. Tom Mather with all his hard working committee had the Best in Show ring looking a million dollars and the whole show ran like clockwork. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Unfortunately I was unable to watch the judging as Glenn and I were benched in the Main Hall between breeds, I hope everyone had a wonderful day though.

For this year the Papillon ring was situated in the Prestwood Centre, a spacious ring for exhibitors and their four paws to be able to manoeuvre around the ring in the space provided. Breed specialist Rosemarie Hobson (Rosenjon) was to be the judge for the day and I hope she thoroughly enjoyed her day.
The principal winners were as follows. DCC / BOB Jo Davidson Poston’s Dual Ch Sky Butterfly Elven Cron Prince Spinillons, Best Puppy Gordon Urquhart’s Blackpark Smart As You Like, Best Veteran Aidan Foyne’s Lafay Petite Etoile JW, Best Special Beginners Lucy Abbot’s Kenzduo Tulip Tyrant.
A thrilled Irene Buckley Water’s taking the BCC with Jorgealin Moon Dust For Sempefidelis, congratulations also to her breeder Lynn George Evans. RDCC a delighted Kara Mason with Finity Run The Gauntlet and finally the RBCC Sue Morrel’s Phalene Aurora Vom Schwabenhof For Temelora (imp Deu).
Congratulations to everyone.
A quick shout out to Glenn for taking Best In Show with Izzy. A little pocket rocket in a Pomeranian frame.

Next week I will give a rundown on the The (Papillon Butterfly Dog) Clubs show that was this year held in conjunction with UKTD.
Enjoy your shows that are coming up over the next few weeks.
