26 August 2016 – Our Dogs
It was a very wet WKC at Builth last weekend. But a very warm atmosphere prevailed around the rings with lots of clapping of the class winners. So nice to hear.
The journey to this show was much easier than the last two and how much better is it to drive through rolling Welsh countryside instead of sitting in long queues on the motorway systems. I see the committee had put on some extra social events in the form of a Welsh Choir and a football match made up of trades people and exhibitors alike. It is one of the things I miss from showing in Spain. Every show breaks for lunch around 2pm and resumes at 5pm. In that break the society puts on special events in the main ring for the spectators and exhibitors. Working dogs, such as the police, agility and the famous white horses are some that I have enjoyed. So well done to the Welsh!
Our judge Breed Specialist Kirsty Miller (Feorlig) worked through her entry in a positive manner giving each exhibit the same thorough examination and opportunity to shine. She found her Best of Breed and subsequent Group 2 winner under Group Judge Goran Bodegard in Joe Magri and Kevin Arrowsmiths Ch Rozamie Dream Lover (whose daughter Omegaville Love Me Do owned by Annette & Gary Mason won a strong Limit Class). The Bitch CC her 11th went to Ch Omegaville Make Me A Petitchien owned by myself Alex Forth. The reserve CC’s went to Sue Stanbury with Inixia Saucy Sam and in the bitches P Beadles Bedellus Jazz Time. Best Puppy went to Pat Cox and Tricianbri Tuppence a Kiss with Best Veteran to Jayne and Sandra’s Jhanakin Highland Destiny.
A note in from Lynn at Bakewell Premier Show 4/8/16 Jorgealin Moon Magic went BOB under Judge Lynn Crane and TG4 judge Sue Smith Jorgealin Moon Shine BPand PG3. Then at Bolton under judges Carol Davies and Jerry Munroe, Magic BOB TG2 with Moon Shine BP. well done.
This weekend we are back on the motorway again travelling north to the Joint Papillon Championship Show, hosted by the Scottish Papillon Club at Lanark, then the following day we are at SKC general championship show at Ingliston, wishing you all a safe motorway journey.
