27 May 2016 – Our Dogs

Its was the turn of Scotland to host two major Championship Shows this weekend. And traveling north from Cambs, the 6/7 hour journey makes you appreciate the commitment our Scottish Papillon owners make to showing our wonderful breed. The Scottish Papillon Club held their Championship Show at Lanark. We stayed in a super B & B just minutes from the showground. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner and she welcomed the dogs at no extra cost. The rooms where light and airy and br eakfast was stately. The show was held in a fabulous hall with easy access and a great canteen with super food at a reasonable price.

A fabulous raffle, with an abundant of prizes, meant even I who never wins usually went home with a few prizes. Not to mention the gifts the club had put on for the winners, plus the Judge Caroline Lee Slater had very generously bought magnificent gifts for the class and CC winners. I was lucky to be one of the top winners at the show, and went home laden, with Dog Food Sacks from Royal Canin, delightful breed brooches, a watch, a beautiful figurine and a very beautiful armband from the judge. Not forgetting the dog beds, lovely rosettes with a tartan theme from the Club. During the break, the Juniors took centre stage and at this show there was a good entry of them. Callum judged the juniors with a calm and sensitive manner, a delight to watch and super for the future of the breed. The Judge Caroline Lee Slater (Graycaz) had a good entry of paps to go over. She found her principle winners in Ch Omegaville Make Me A Petitchien (owned by myself) for the BCC and ultimate BIS. So here is the list of winners and a huge congratulations to all.
