Open show joy for Susan Lanson at Dumfries & Galloway CS. Mr Michael Boulcott took the helm for judging the breed and Toy group and firmly put Susan on cloud 9 awarding her the double in the breed. Denemore Life of Reilly for Cantoverde shCM took BOB and TGP4 and her homebred youngster Cantoverde Lady in Red took BP and TGP3. Now that is what I call a brilliant day. Susan told me that it was a lovely sunny day although windy, so good showing weather to keep the heat off the backs of the four paws. The committee of the club laid on free drinks, food and wine for all the exhibitors as they were let down by the usual burger van that was at the venue. Now that to me sounds like a much healthier option and the committee excelled themselves, what a lovely gesture.
Kirsty Wells has sent me in details of the goings on at their South of England Papillon Club fun day in Somerset. Kirsty says the event was well attended and it was lovely to meet some new people with Papillons, as well has having lots of fun. The committee would like to give special thanks to Alison Atkins for judging the fun classes, Helen Taylor for giving a HTM demo and allowing us to join in, Ann Whitaker & Angela Stevenson for providing the agility equipment & Amanda Brown & Barbara Prince for all their hard work in the kitchen. Well you all sound like you had a brilliant day enjoying plenty of social activities and having lots of fun along the way.
Short and sweet this week, as there is not a lot of news to report. Next week will bring you news from Welsh Kennel at Builth Wells. I do hope it is nice weather as the setting is then beautiful.
A little get well thought to our Pap exhibitors that are poorly sick at the moment. Ruth Johnston, Peter Cullen and Sue Morrell we are all send you lots of get well wishes. Not forgetting everyone that perhaps I do not know about at present. Where ever you are, you are all in our thoughts.
Until we meet up again next week, happy Pappy showing everyone.
