27 June 2025 Papillon Breed Notes
The National Dog Show is always a show that everyone immensely looks forward to in the show calendar. This year was the societies166th anniversary. With a bag of fairy dust sprinkled the Stafford County Showground is magically transformed with green carpets covering all the ring areas in the main hall. The committee put a huge amount of time and effort into transforming the showground into such a memorable show, certainly one that stands out proud on its own merits. Huge congratulations to the shows secretary Nick Gourley and all the dedicated committee, you all did one amazing job.

You will both always remember this special day, the first challenge certificate is always a treasured memory. I am so delighted for you both.
We go next on to double shows travelling up to Bonnie Scotland. The Scottish Kennel Club is held at The Royal Showground, Ingliston, Edinburgh. A busy time for the exhibitors and committee, or a better word maybe is exhausting! But everyone gets through and comes out the other end.
There is usually a good selection of trade stands in the lower hall for everyone to browse.

The judge was well respected all rounder Mr Richard Bott.
After all that activity I think you deserve time to rest and recoup in readiness for the The Papillon Butterfly Dog Club of Scotlands Championship the next day at Lanark. This dog showing lark can be intense and brutal at times!
Until the next breed notes take care of yourselves and the four paws.
