Bitches – Judge: Mrs Sue Stanbury (Inixia)
My grateful thanks goes to the Officers, Committee, my co-judge, Lynda Woodrow, and my most able stewards for contributing to making my judging so enjoyable. Also thanks to the exhibitors for entering their lovely dogs under me.

I have a saying, that a judge is only as good as the dogs that are entered under them. Gladly I can say that the quality of Paps were such that I would easily have taken home any of my winners here today. That’s obviously, if I were able wrestle them from their owners!

Minor Puppy Bitch (3)
1 Foiles’ LAFFORD KANDY APPLE This nicely marked, Tri baby of just 6 months caught my eye as she entered the ring and I was not disappointed, when handling her on the table. She has everything going for her. Such an exquisite head & expression. Dark, eyes and huge, well-shaped, moble ears. Her ample reach of neck, level top-line and correctly placed tail made it a joy to watch her on the move. Whilst she hasn’t much coat and why should she at this age! That very fact meant that there was nothing to hide. She just oozes style & elegance whilst showing and on the move. I was delighted to award her BBP & even more so when my Co-Judge and I, decided to award her a very well deserved BPIS. I must be honest here and say that, although it must be delightful for new owners to have such a gem, I was a tad disappointed, to hear afterwards that such a cracking specimen, should be leaving our shores. Good luck to her new owners. I wish her well and hope that has a great future ahead of her.
2 Whitehill’s OMEGAVILLE LETS DANCE Nicely sized 6 1/2 month R/S/W. Lovely head & expression with dark eyes & large ears, well shaped ears. Coming, nicely into good coat for her age. Superb temperament, which almost put her at a disadvantage, as she was enjoying herself so much! Moved well.
3 Lees’ LAFFORD KANDYFLOSS Another delightful Tri puppy. Litter sister to my class winner and lots to like about her. She has a superb tail carriage on the move, which whilst standing let’s her down a little. Ironically there is nothing in the breed standard that states it should be up while standing! Never the less, this is something that will rectify itself with age and maturity. All three lovely babies.

Puppy Bitch (7)
1 Cullen’s PETRESS DARK AND DARING This nicely sized, quite feminine 9 ½ month B/W stood out for me and is very much my type. She has a lovely head, with symmetrical markings and sweet expression. Large, well flared & fringed ears. Lovely reach of neck and level top-line. Tail carried nicely over her back. Her overall coat & finish, belied her age. Moved and showed well. My only slight niggle is that her front needs to firm up, but that hopefully will come with age and maturity and is such will be barely, even noticeable on grass.
2 Wheeler’s GOLYGFAMOR MADEMOISELLE Well coated and bodied, 11 month B/W, slightly larger than first with good head & expression. Dark eyes. Good front and well angulated behind. Moved and showed very well.
3 George-Evans’ MOETICA SNOW WINDS TO JORGEALIN (IMP) This 9 month B/W didn’t quite have the coat or finish of the first two, but showed & moved very well.
4 Finlayson’s ROZAMIE REGARDEZ-MOI
5 Goude’s MANAWYDDAN INCA TINKA

Junior Bitch (9)
1 Cullen’s PETRESS BLACK MAGIC Remarkably, I see this 9 1/2 month B/W is litter sister to my Puppy Class winner. They are so very similar, though she’s possibly, not so fine in bone, but both are so alike that my thoughts are the same on their critique, except to say that her movement, both front and back is nigh on perfect. I must add that, in my humble opinion, this breeder/exhibitor had a very good day as, their litter brother, also won BPD today.
2 Lees’ FARLEYSBANE FIREFLY AT LAFFORD Nicely sized, well bodied R/S/W 13 month, with lovely head, expression, outline & tail carriage. Moved soundly. She’s at that age when, she just needs more finish, which will come with maturity.
3 Morton’s ANCOJO SHOCK WAVE AT ABLAZZOR Lovely 13month R/S/W but, unfortunately did not want to show off her virtues, today.
4 King’s SARASHA STRIPTEASE
5 Morrell & Teague’s TEMELORA DORA THE EXPLORER

Yearling Bitch (3, 1 absent)
1 Stewart & Stewart-Knight’s TUSSALUD STORY TALES This, lovely sized & well boned, 13month Sable/White, girl, is not overly glamourous, and flashily marked, but she’s got what I like in a bitch. She has a lovely, head with dark eye. Large, well-shaped ears. Good length of neck, flowing into a level top-line and nicely carried tail. With straight front with good turn of stifle. She really comes into her own is when she is on the move. She has that indefinable something that’s hard to describe, but whatever it is, my eyes were glued on her whilst moving around the ring. I shall watch her career with interest. Res CC
2. Taylor’s FARTHINGHALL’S NUI NUI IS PURE PIXIE. Well fringed, nicely headed, Dark Red Sable & White B of 21 months. Level topline and long tail. Good front and rear. Nicely hared feet. Moved well.
2 Taylor’s FARTHINGHALL’S NUI NUI IS PUREPIXIE

Novice Bitch (4, 1 absent)
1 Aitkin’s LAFFORD FANCY THAT FOR ELFUAGO Nicely headed 14 month Black & White with dark, expressive eyes and pencil blaze. Moved well. Just needs more finish to complete the overall picture.
2 Morton’s ABLAZZOR TYNE TO BE WILD Well balanced Tri girl of 9 month s. Lots to like about her. Good tail carriage and coat, with overall finish for her age
3 Featonby-Warren’s BUTTALOWIE BEAUTIFUL NOISE This dainty black and white 15month was smaller than first two. Good straight front and turn of stifle. She’s in between coats, but has a lovely feathered tail.

Graduate Bitch (2, 1 absent)
1 Foynes & May MELANGEL UNIQUE STAR FOR LAFAY Well marked 19month old, Dark Red Sable & White, with black mask. Nice head & expression . Lots of hair on her long tail, but unfortunately left the rest at home! Has level top-line. Moved soundly and showed well.

Post Graduate Bitch (8, 3 absent)
1 Wells & Brown’s METAMORPHIC ONYX The quality of this 2 year, Tri bitch is not immediately obvious when glancing around the ring, but she has all the right things in the right places. Lovely head, expression and large, well placed ears. Level topline. Moved & showed well. She just, possibly needs a little more furnishings to complete the overall picture.
2 Whitehill’s AMICAE ROYAL SEAL This is another nice Black & White bitch that I call an inbetweener. Not in coat and not out of coat. They just need a little more. In fact most, were the same in this class. Never the less, nicely constructed. Moved and showed well.
3 Mann’s MELANGEL TILLY TRI STAR Another nicely constructed, well-marked, 2 year old Black & White, in need of a little more furnishing to complete the picture.
4 Fulton’s KAZKELL CELTIC DREAM AT KENF
5 Robb’s GLENIREN POCKET ROCKET

Limit Bitch (11, 4 absent)
1 Well’s & Brown’s METAMORPHIC DELIVERED Well balanced, 3 year Black & White with lovely head & expression, symmetrical blaze and large, well fringed ears. Lightly marked, with good reach of neck and level top-line and good tail carraige. Well bodied, with fine silky coat and tail feathering. Moved & showed well.
2 Kirk’s ABLAZZOR WILD AT HEART Well balanced 4 year old Tri with nice head & expression. Large, well set ears. Level top-line. In lovely coat. Moved and showed well.
3 MacGregor’s CRAIGABER TIMEWATCH JW Similar in type to second, this 5 year old Tri, needs a little furnishing to complete the overall picture.
4 Green’s MERCEDES DIAMOND AT RUBYWINGS
5 Buckley & Buckley-Waters’ METAMORPHIC OPAL AT SEMPEFIDELIS

Open Bitch (7)
1 Cullen’s Ch ANCOJO WHISPER TO ME Quality lightly marked black & white of 4 years old. Again she’s no stranger to me as I placed her highly when, judging Crufts. Beautiful head & expression with symmetrical blaze, dark, expressive eyes, good mouth and large, well placed ears, with fringes to die for. Good reach of neck, level top-line and correct tail carriage. Moved, stylishly around the ring with ease. Grand furnishing of correct texture. I see that she is the dam of two of the pups that I have given firsts to today and with hind sight, they are of very similar in type. This to me is a total gem, not only doing well in the show ring, but producing to type as well. Was delighted to see her go on to win RBIS
2 Thornton’s Ch SHEVID RUMOUR HAS IT I have always loved this 21 month, Tri bitch and dare I say it, again, she is no stranger to me as I gave her BBP at Crufts and is a very worthy Champion, She has the most beautiful head & expression. Large, well placed and fringed ears. Superb body and out line. Today she moved well in front, but for whatever reason, not so good behind, so had to concede to first, but who knows, another day, placing’s could be reversed.
3 Stewart & Stewart-Knight’s DENEMORE STORY’S ECHO AT TUSSALUD This 5 year Sable & White has possibly the best tail carriages here today. Soundly constructed. She moved and showed extremely well and is a very worthy Champion. I see that she is the dam of my Res CC winner (yet another gem!)
4 Cochrane’s Ch TUTYAK FANTASY
5 Buckley & Buckley-Waters’ SEMPEFIDELIS DULCIDINE

Special Beginners Bitch (3, 2 absent)
1 Green’s MERCEDES DIAMOND AT RUBYWINGS This lovely 3 ½ year Tri has the prettiest head & expression. Dark eye and good mouth. Moved & showed well. Coat coming along nicely. Lots to like about her.
2. Buttalowie Beautiful Noise. This dainty black and white 15months . She has a straight front and good turn of stifle. She’s in between coats, but a has lovely feathered tail.

2 Featonby-Warren’s BUTTALOWIE BEAUTIFUL NOISE

Special Phalene Open Bitch (1)
1 Morrell & Teague’s Ch TEMELORA FOREST NYMPH This Red Sable & White young lady of 7 ½ years, again is no stranger to me, as I have previously awarded her a Res CC. Nicely constructed, in good coat. Moved & showed well. Everything to like about her and a worthy Champion.

Veteran Bitch (7, 1 absent)
1 MacGregor’s MEERWINGS THE SWALLOW TALE BY PYATSHAW I have loved this lightly marked, Red Sable & white, since she was a youngster and she has hardly changed at all. Beautiful head & expression. Soundly made & constructed. In good coat. Moved & showed like a dream. Delighted that she went on to win Best Veteran in Show.
2 Wells & Brown’s POWDERMILL LOOK WITH ME AT METAMORPHIC This, well coated, 8 year old Black & White girl, is, again not unknown to me as I own her dad! She has a lovely head & expression and large, very well fringed ears and moved & showed well, with superb hare feet.
