Thank you to the Committee of the above show for the invitation to judge some of the Toy Breeds. A lovely well run show with true North East hospitality! I must also thank my Steward, Barry, who on the day kept everything running smoothly, but importantly I mustn’t forget the exhibitors who brought along all their lovely dogs for me to judge so a big thanks to them too.

Papillon Junior (Entries 8 Abs 1)
1st Webber’s Adnamashan Take That – 14mth beautiful tri boy with super head complemented with perfect markings, super sweet expression in those dark expressive eyes, along with lovely well fringed ears completing the picture, good body of sound construction & muscle, enough reach of neck, moved well with drive once settled, correct tail carriage on move, good dentition & lovely temperament.
2nd – Water’s Sweetbriar Goldblend – 7mth red sable boy, just a baby but outshone the majority in that class on the move with his super topline & tail carriage covering the ground with ease & confidence. Lovely head, soft expression from his dark eyes, good dentition & skull shape, well made body for age, coat still to come. BP
3rd – Water’s Harlequinn
Res – Dunn’s Sweetbriar Double Shot

Papillon Graduate (Entries 5 Abs 0)
1st – Clint’s Papplewick Persian Power – 3yr old dark shaded sable boy, stunning head although more solid in colour but with enough definition to see the butterfly effect, ears well fringed placed on that super head with lovely eyes giving such a soft expression, good dentition, correct soft silky coat, soundly constructed body & muscled, fair reach of neck, excelled on the move covering the area with proficiency & style, very sweet temperament. BOB
2nd – Clint’s Papplewick’s Prince Bishop – 2yr old dark shaded sable boy, smaller type that 1 but sound on the move, good body covered with correct coat, nice skull shape & eyes giving that sweet expression, excellent temperament.
3rd – Webber’s Adnasmashan Bat Out of Hell
Res – Waters Caraideas Jare De Vivre

Papillon Open (Entries 4 Abs 0)
1st – Clint’s Papplewick Persian Punch – 5yr old dark shaded sable boy, another with a stunning head, well fringed ears framing the head combined with soft expression, good dentition, super firm muscled body covered with profuse silky coat, excellent on move with good topline & tail carriage, lovely temperament.
2nd – Collins’s – Flash Lightening Melangel – 2yr old black / white boy of larger body type, moved very well & carried his tail well, well presented & in fair coat, nice skull & teeth, good temperament, just preferred the type of 1 on the day.
3rd – Waters Sweetbriar Sticks An Stones
