13 December 2019 Breed Notes
The South Of England Papillon hosted the joint breed clubs Championship show with Joe Magri (Rozamie) taking the helm for judging the butterfly and moths for the show. Unfortunately no full results have come through from the club but the principal winners were as follows BCC / BIS Kirsty Miller and Evan Ryan’s Ch Feorlig, Wake Up Maggie, DCC/ RBIS Jean Okenden’s Ringlands Oliver Twist, BPIS Pat and Brian Cox’s Briar Rose for Ringlands, congratulations also to Pat Munn of Ringlands. RBPIS Sue Stanbury and Sophie Langdon’s Skyvana Zero Hour for Inixia, BVIS Kirsty Wells and Amanda Brown’s Ch Metamorphic Delivered and BPHIS Sue Morrell’s Serenglade Leap of Faith for Temelora.
The Papillon Butterfly Dog Club Of Scotland held their Christmas Open Show at Cochrane hall, Alva and judging by the pictures I have seen everyone looked as if they were enjoying the day to the max. The Christmas Jumper Competition was a joy to behold with everyone joining in the fun with festive flashing jumpers, Christmas shoes, headgear and Christmas glasses. The winner was judged by Lynda Phillips and she chose a junior dressed as a most impressive Christmas Elf with her Papillon pulling a delightful Christmas sleigh.
There was also a Puppy Walk, Beloved Pet Parade and I believe some very impressive Junior Handlers.
Have you got your Crufts accommodation organised? Well it looks like Dianna Dunnet has her Crufts accommodation sorted winning at the show an overnight stay at Royal Court Hotel, Coventry for one of the nights of Crufts weekend having the choice of a single room, double room or family room with dinner and breakfast included. All for the price of a £5 raffle ticket. Well done Dianna must be over the moon.
For the judging of the show Evan Ryan was judging our lovely breed. I am sure he must have thoroughly enjoyed himself. The principal results are as follows. BIS/ BVIS Ch Papplewick Pretty In Pink At Adinaken. From the pictures this little girl looked amazing for a ten year old strutting her stuff. Congratulation must go to Jennifer and Karen Smith, what a marvellous achievement and full credit to you both having her looking so fabulous. RBIS Mary Whitehill’s Papmar Moonlight Missabeat, BOS Mary Whitehill’s Amicae Timless Dream and finally Karen and Steve Maskell’s youngster Lilnrose Dream took BPIS. Well done to everyone who took a principal award or won their class.
