17 November 2023 Papillon Breed Notes

It with greatest sadness that the news has come through of the passing of one of the most loveliest ladies, Anne Summerfield of the Annefield affix. Anne had been the President of the The Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club for well over twenty years and had supported the club continually over the years. We will deeply miss not seeing her presence at the Championship show for the club as she always very proudly presented the club’s annual awards to the winners. It will be something that will be etched in my memories of Anne. She was so kind and considerate and always took time to spend time and chat with people. Anne was also President of the Birmingham Toy Society for a number of years. It is a very sad day indeed.

Annes funeral will be held on Wednesday, 22nd November at 2.15pm at the West Chapel, Bushbury Crematorium, Underhill Lane, Wolverhampton, WV10 7JG. Details of the venue for celebrating Anne’s life afterwards will be given later. Anyone wishing to attend please let Chris Headley (secretary of the Papillon (Butterfly Dog) Club know as the family will need to know how many are to be catered for. Sending condolences to her family, close friends and all those that knew Anne so well. We will miss you Anne.
