21 October 2022 Breed Notes

The next port of call for the show scene was City Of Birmingham Championship Show held at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry, Warwickshire. Situated more centre of the country and perhaps an easy commute for most exhibitors. Papillon day was on the Friday which was the second day of the show and the Pap entry was a respectable 70/74 for the current climate. The judge at the helm was Mr Kevan Berry of the Ricksbury affix who most of you will know is majorly involved in King Charles and Cavalier King Charles with his partner Brian Rix.
I wasn’t able to be at the show but I believe everything progressed smoothly along with the help of the judge’s stewards.
Mr Berry’s choices were as follows: BCC/ BOB/ BPIB Kirsty and Evan Ryan and Jen Goessens Uppercut Daydream Believers With Feorlig (Imp Bel) also TPGP2 under Stevie Hall. A good day was had by this partnership as Kirsty, Evan and Kathleen Roosens also were awarded the DCC with Ch U Knock Me Off My Feet Daydream Believers With Feorlig (Imp Bel).
Best Veteran Susie and Margaret Orchard’s Ringland Yoko’s Solo At Panspayon Sh.Cm Shcex Vw, Best Special Beginners Louise Nuttycombe’s Tiffany Gold S Ostrova Shatcilinskogo At Loutony.
For the RCC’s; RDCC an exciting result Dee Olaf’s youngster Tarnock Tap Dance Teddy, RBCC Irene & Glenn Robb’s Gleniren Daddy’s Starmaker who also went on to take Best Junior and a lovely Best Junior Group 1 under Mr Tan Nagretcha.
Once again thank you to Gary Thompson of Papillon Live for keeping everyone at home up to date with the show.

Richmond Championship show saw all rounder Mark Cocozza (Freecoloud) judging the breed with an entry of 63. We did not attend the show and no news has filtered through of the showground and trade stands but I would think the show came up to the high standards it usually has achieved in past years. The principal winners were BOB/ BCC/ BPIB/ TPGP1 :Kirsty & Evan Ryan & Jen Goessen’s Uppercut Daydream Believers With Feorlig (Imp Bel). The Toy Group judge was Mr Kevin Young (Suncap). Best Veteran Susie and Margaret Orchard’s Ringland Yoko’s Solo At Panspayon Sh.Cm Shcex Vw. DCC Sue Stanbury’s Inixia Made By Design and the RDCC Kirsty and Evan Ryan and Kathleen Roosen’s Ch U Knock Me Off My Feet Daydream Believers With Feorlig (Imp Bel)., RBCC Denise Welsh’s Ir Ch Pipestrelle Lollapalooza For Kazim(Ikc) (Ax1) and lastly Special Beginners Michaela and Sireen Last’s Lilacrose Magic Mya At Lastayla. I hope everyone enjoyed their day and had a safe journey home.

Next week I will cover some of your wonderful results from the Open Show results and travelling across the pond to Belfast.
Take care everyone.
