South of England Papillon Club entries are closing this week. This is a super friendly club and a lovely day out for the exhibitor and visitor alike. Details can be had from Susie Orchard on 01884 840324 The show will be held at Chieveley Nr Newbury on Saturday 13th January, so a nice easy drive and the judge on the day is breed specialist Mrs Christine Foynes (Lafay).

Another Club show with schedules out is the Northern and Eastern Papillon Cub. The Open show is being held on March 6th at Goole. The judge is breed specialist Ms Helen Wheeler, details can be obtained from Mr Ian Moor this time by email on ianoor74@gmail.com, alternatively both clubs have a facebook page.

It is great we have these two club shows to go to during the dull winter months and with the lead into Crufts a great opportunity to keep the dogs on their toes

Manchester Championship show was another I was entered at but didn’t make due to hand rearing a litter of orphaned puppies. So challenging but hugely rewarding to see them develop. The Judge on the day was the well respected breed specialist and International all breeds judge Stephanie Rickett over from Victoria. Stephanie had a super entry and the reports back from the show were very good. Everyone enjoyed her judging and the positive way she went over the dogs giving each dog ample time to shine in the ring. She found her winners in ‘Travis for Best of Breed and he then went onto win the Toy Group once again. Tom Isherwood had a lovely day with his new puppy and in the stakes classes.
