Critique

Thank you to all the exhibitors for giving me such a fabulous entry to judge. I thoroughly enoyed my day. Thank you also to my efficient Steward who kept everything right in the background.

MPD (5,0) 1. Stanbury’s Inixia Ever Ready Eddie. Very smart R/S of an excellent shape. Head needs to develop, which you would expect at this age but all the essentials are there – good ears, eyes and bite. Very good neck & shoulder placement, good rib, balanced – slightly longer than high but without being long and low, lovely long tail carried correctly, stylish on the move keeping a good topline, straight movement both coming and going. RES BPB & RBPIS. 2. Davidson-Poston’s Austin Martin Iz Beloi Rusi Spinillons (imp Belarus) naf Pretty headed tricolour baby, many of the same attributes as 1. In excellent condition. Just preferred the neck and front movement of 1, however, another promising puppy. 3. Orchard’s Panspayon Fortune Seeker.

PD (2,0) 2 nice puppies. 1. Stanbury’s Inixia Fully Charged. Another very smart R/S baby, loved his shape, slightly longer than high, with good angles front and back, plenty forechest. It was no surprise then that he moved very well, holding his topline. Long, well carried tail. Correct coat type. Again, one whose head needs to develop but it’s all there to do so. Large ears, dark, round eyes, good bite. Very similar to my MPD winner and I see they are litter mates. Really liked him, he should have a bright future. BPD & Best Puppy In Show. 2. Bruce’s Tijuana Double Trouble. Very pretty headed R/S, skull – muzzle proportions just right, round eyes and good bite. Mature in body for his age, plenty of coat, moved well. Just preferred the elegance of 1.

JD (3,0) 1. Lees Lafford Fireman Sam. Dainty Tri, light on his feet moving round. Correct head proportions, dark eyes, good feet, would like better front angles, slightly more neck and forechest. 2. Mann’s Johnasta ‘Jus Chalkie. Not dissimilar to 1. Very good topline. Tail carriage needs to improve. 3. Malcolm’s Feorlig It Must’ve Been Love.

YD (4,0) 1. Wilkinson’s Lafford Inspector Morse In Poppywood. Very stylish Tri who I’ve judged before. In profuse, well presented coat. Head of correct proportions, large correctly set ears, well fringed, good bite. Eyecatching moving round. A little underdone in head for me but a very nice dog over all. 2. Geary’s Taliesyn Black Walnut. Tricolour with a very nice head, good bite, well shaped, large ears. Not the shape of 1. 3. Waller’s Lilnrose I’m A Lovebug.

MD (6,0) 1. See 2nd MPD. 2. Bruce’s Tijuana Mayhem. R/S Phalene with a very nice head, abrupt muzzle, sound expression, dark round eyes and good bite. In excellent condition, good body, well sprung rib. Moved well going round and back and forth. Just prefer a more dainty dog. 3. Stanbury’s Inixia Battery Not Included.

ND (4,0) 1. Stanbury’s Inixia Fine Fella. Dark shaded sable. Another from this kennel with a very eyecatching shape. Liked his size and how light he was on his feet when moving. Good topline on the move. Well angled front and rear with a mature body in between. Good length of tail. For me he could have had a slightly shorter nose and his ears were a little at. Another nice one nonetheless. 2. See 2nd PD. 3. Lees Elfuago Bombastic.

GD (4,0) 1. Morrell’s Serenglade Leap Of Faith For Temelora. B/W phalene, lovely head type with correct proportions, dark round eyes and correct bite. Very balanced in outline, excels in topline with a good tail carriage. Enough bone without being heavy. Looked very nice going round and both coming and going. Very nice boy. Res Best Dog. 2. Stanbury’s Angullyon Trading Secrets With Inixia, R/S Slightly less “male” than 1 but still a nice dog. Great ears with plenty fringes, good bite, good neck and body, good tail. He had a short coupled body but would have preferred just a tad more height for the ideal balance. 3. Olof’s Rozamie Ricardo.

PGD (2,0) 1. Orchard’s Panspayon Eye Of The Storm. B/W Upstanding male in very good coat and condition. Head of good proportions, good mouth, dark eyes. Would prefer better ear set. Good neck and shoulders into well sprung rib. Fine but strong bone. Proficient on the move. 2. Sparkes Pinkmead Twistin Time, R/S phalene in very good condition, level topline on the move. Good neck and shoulders and well sprung rib.Would prefer a darker eye.

MLD (1,0) 1. Buss’ Flutura’s Something Special. Handsome R/S who presented a nice picture over all. So expression although would like just a tad darker eyes, excellent ears, good bite, well presented nice type of coat. Good body shape. Moved well.

LD (3,1) 1. King’s Skyvana Tom Thumb Sarasha. Tri At first glance this dog’s coat gives you the wrong impression. On going over him I found a really well made dog, one of the few with a good tight elbow, straight front & elegant neck and shoulders. Well sprung rib, short coupled and correctly angulated behind. It was no surprise then that he moved very well coming, going and held his topline going round. He has a very pretty head, correctly proportioned, masculine without being coarse. Dark, expressive eyes and large ears, well fringed. His untidy coat does little to show o what lies beneath and the more I looked at him the more I liked him. Best Dog & Best Opposite Sex. 2. Robert’s & Smith’s Jalatemme Shazam At Rayol. Tri with so much to like. Such a sweet expression, dark eyes and balanced head proportions. Very nice in body type, standing 4 square. Good on the move with a level topline. Just preferred the elegance of 1 but it was a close decision.

OD (4,0) A very close call in this nice class. 1. Davidson-Poston’s Ch Int Gb, Ir & Nl Ch Spinillons Rebel Rowser JW ShCM CW14 B/W Mature boy in excellent coat and condition, beautifully presented. Attractive head piece, dark eyes and good mouth. Used his ears well. Very good on the move, straight coming and going and in pro le holding a good topline. Considered for top honours. 2. Lee-Slater’s Rozamie Monsieur Philippe. R/S presented to perfection. Another one with a good headpiece, correct ears, good bite and a very sweet expression. Excellent neck and topline. As you would expect, moved well. Very close decision, just felt he needed a little more maturity on the day. 3. Mann’s Melangel Time To Shine.

VD (7,1) 1. Davidson-Poston’s Spinillons Zuzzi JW ShCM, B/W 8yrs old. Very similar in type, I felt, to the Open Dog winner. Attractive head, dark, round eyes and good bite. Neat shape. In fabulous coat and condition and beautifully presented. Made a nice picture going round. 2. Morrell’s Temelora Bobby Dazzler JW B/W 7yrs old. Not dissimilar although slightly ner in face. In excellent condition. Just preferred the outline of 1 on the move. 3. Stanbury’s Inixia Delightful Dan JW ShCM.

MPB (4,0) 1. Olof’s Tarnock Rumour N Riddles Tri, very attractive baby, loved her size and outline. Correct mouth, Good feet. In excellent coat and condition. Particularly nice length of tail and carriage. Very free moving with lots of style. Res Best Puppy Bitch. 2. Olof’s Tarnock Runaway Ruby, R/S Petit. Pretty head, good mouth, very sweet expression. Also a good shape and I see she is litter sister to 1. Would prefer a longer tail and could have carried it better on the day. Nice quality. 3. Glanville-Hughes Talliesyn Floribunda Of Brandonburg.

PB (5,0) 1. Mann’s Stagedoor Beatrix Melangel. Tri very pretty headed baby with sweet expression and dark eyes. Good ears and head proportions. Correctly balanced in outline. Needs to tighten a little in front but a very nice girl over all. Best Puppy Bitch. 2. Cox’ Denemore Juniperberrie At Tricianbri (IKC) R/S Another pretty baby, correct head proportions, dark eyes and good bite. In excellent coat and condition. She had a tabletop topline. Just preferred the overall balance and style of 1. Another one of quality. 3. Lockhart’s Stagedoor Bunny.

JB (3,2) 1. Maskell’s Lilnrose Too Vain To Dream Kazkell. Tri liked her size. Dark round eyes and a very sweet expression. Good bite, large ears, level topline. Would like a longer tail and I think she le most of her clothes at home.

YB (5,0) 1. Morrell’s Temelora Adele. B/W phalene, pretty head, dark round eyes and good bite, had a very alert, intelligent look, very elegant correctly proportioned outline, good neck and topline. Moved true both ways. Another one who forgot her clothes today. A nice bitch nonetheless. 2. Je reys-Cleaver Minackove Macey. Tri sweet girl, small but well formed, pretty head with lots of good tan, dark eyes, good mouth, moved well. 3. Olof’s Tarnock Devine D’or.

MB (2,0) 1. Davidson-Poston’s Ari De Pari Eadlin Darylyn Spinnillons (imp RUS) Ph Tri Very pretty headed phalene girl, dark round eyes and the sweetest expression, correct bite. In excellent condition and presented to perfection, as were all from this kennel. Level topline moving round. Straight front coming towards, a little eratic behind at times. 2. See 2nd Yearling Bitch.

GB (5,0) 1. Cox’ Denemore Chasing Elegante Flora At Tricianbri (IKC) R/S Dark, expressive round eyes, black nose & good mouth on an attractive head piece. Body in good condition, good spring of rib and well angled both ends. Firm, level topline. Tail a little at but a good type of girl. Moved soundly. 2. See 2nd Yearling Bitch. 3. Olof’s Tarnock Demoiselle Devona.

PGB (2,0) 1. Nash’ Afterglow Gooseberry With Ookimimi, B/W nice bone and size, sweet expression, dark eyes, good bite, liked her balance. Coat in good condition, tail carried ok. Decent profile going round but not moving well behind today. 2. See 2nd Yearling Bitch.

MLB (2,0) 1. Geary’s Fedelta Angelica At Taliesyn, R/S Good size, correct bite, pretty head with good ears, plenty fringes. Dark, expressive eyes, moved well with level topline. 2. See Yearling Bitch.

LB (4,0) 1. Cox’ Tricianbri Tuppence A Kiss JW, R/S Very pretty girl who I have admired since a puppy and did not disappoint on going over her. Correct in head balance, lively expression, good bite. Neat body, well developed, correct balance in shape. Proficient on the move and has lots of style. Pleased to award her Best Bitch & just scored over the best dog for her showmanship and finish Best In Show – which, her owner tells me is her 3rd in a row! 2. Roberts & Smith’s Rayol Petronella, B/W phalene in excellent condition, good bite, one of the best movers. preferred the eyes and expression of 1. 3. See 2nd Yearling Bitch.

OB (4,1) 1. Davidson-Poston’s Int Ir & Nl Ch Spinillons Classic Caress, Ir Jun Ch, JW, ShCM, CW14, PPVN15 Pretty headed girl, large, well fringed ears, dark eyes and good bite.
