This weekend the Papillon fraternity got together for the fun weekend held at Brailles Community Hall. I was not entered in the Open show on the Sunday as one of my co partners Kevin Arrowsmith was judging. Kevin had drawn a remarkable entry of 114 paps to go over, which is higher than a lot of General Championship Shows.
The grounds on which this event is held are just perfect. Sitting around the ringside, with the sun shining and the hills surrounding us was just heavenly. Also held over this weekend was the agility competition and the fun dog show.
There was a fabulous raffle and much support for the raffle and special auction. One observation I have and I hope it will be addressed for next time is the catering. It was very poor, limited and expensive especially for a club show and I am not quite sure what happened to the BBQ lunch on the Sunday. But us papillon folk had a lovely day and for sure the winners had big smiles on their faces.
